corinne lilia (they/them) is a writer and healer. Writing poetry since childhood, corinne has published their first collection of poems, nucleotides of Blackness, reflections of a descendant. Heavily influenced by their ancestors, lilia’s goal in their writings is to reconnect us all to the power, strength, and resilience that lies within. corinne lilia attended Spelman College and has additionally received both an MD and PhD. Currently a pediatrics resident in Oakland, CA, corinne is working to expand the understanding and utilization of ancestral healing traditions in Western medicine. In their free time, corinne enjoys making teas, writing poetry and science fiction, and spending time by the water.

This book is a 3 part collection displaying the trials and triumphs of descendants of enslaved Africans in North America. Although specifically targeted to the Black community in North America, people from all walks of life can learn, grow, and discover themselves through these pieces.
